Installation view at Palazzo Mediceo during the presentation of the works produced in the art residency period
The work presented at the Medici Stables in Seravezza (Tuscany) was created during an artist residency in the same town.
The piece, made up of a roll of unique fabric recovered from an ancient tailoring shop, becomes a visual synthesis that recounts the lived experience of the place through a process of “transcription”.
As one progresses through the viewing of the work (as in reading a scroll vertically from top to bottom), details are lost, leaving a void, a necessary space for a story yet to be written.
