sublime artificiale

There are two fundamental aspects of this series started in 2020: aesthetic anesthesia and the spectacularization of the ugly.

One of the greatest dangers that society faces is cultural and visual addiction to environmental phenomena, due to a modern problem related to the sudden flow of images.

This is why this series of works (which currently consists of 11 pieces) is called Artificial Sublime and is based on the construction of images inspired by anthropogenic places that can be captivating in reality. The final layer in resin makes the works reflective, incorporating the surrounding space and “forcing” the observer to “reflect” and see themselves in the world of the Anthropocene, thus reflecting on their condition as humans in this geological era.
